We have chosen to have both our ceremony and reception at the Fluvarium, in St. John's, Newfoundland.
The FLuvarium was built as an ecological education centre. Where people can get up close and personal with the creatures that inhabit the frshwater ecosystem. Fortunately they also had the forethought to put in a conference room which does nicely for weddings. You can learn more about the fluvarium by following the link at the bottom of this page.
The ceremony part is making me nervous - I just can't get an idea for what the place will look like once spring/summer comes. Will the place I've picked out be grown over with 4 feet of weeds? And if it rains everyone says it is fine to move it inside, some have even been to weddings inside and say it was lovely....but i don't know. We shall see.
For an outside ceremony I don't care how it's set up. It certainly doesn't have to be "typical." As long as everyone can see and hear pretty well. We will have a sound system for that so just finding a place to put a chair is what I need.
